Toys'r'us Geoffrey's birthday club.
|
|
Saje2 entry. I just love her green dress and the green balloon.
Takde apa sgt, just received a $3 off coupon from Toys'r'us. So we took her to the store so she could get something simple (and cheap!) for herself. Bought a cute Tinkerbell flashlight, that somewhat matches her dress & balloon, and got this balloon as well as a birthday crown FREE!
Nothing fancy, but enough to make a 4 year old happy!

My baby is 4!
|
|
Alhamdulillah!!!
We organized a small birthday party for Ain during school's snack break around 3.30pm. (Btw, Ain was born around 3 pm, 4 years ago!!!) Mommy & daddy came 10 minutes earlier to set the table. Everything was done as quick as possible so tak sempat nak ambil gambar sangat. Dad took a video of the whole occasion though.
Ain enjoyed the little celebration and was such a good host! She helped distributing all the stuff, from plates, party hats, cakes, drinks to party loots. She made sure everyone was happy and well catered. Not just her friends, her teachers included. Sibuklah tanya cikgu dia, "Is the cake yummy Sandy?", "Do you like the cake Mary?",
And ohh...forgot to mention one more thing...towards the end of the celebration, everyone got a hug from the birthday girl! Ain simply went----"Everyone gets a hug!!!" and she circled the table, giving hugs to everyone, friends & teachers. I've raised one cheeky loving princess...or dancing doll like what she prefered me to call her at times...
After school.... we went to watch "Transformers"! Jangan tak tau, Ain's favourite tu! Asyik sibuk main with Ayah's Transformers toys kat rumah. She can name a few and even identified some missing ones from the movie.

Michigan Challenge Balloonfest. 25th anniversary.
|
|
Location: Howell, MI.
Time: 5.45 am - 4.30 pm
Ain was SOOOO EXCITED to see the balloons that she couldn't stop cheering for them and kept on telling the ones further behind--- "Come on little ones, you can do it".
Believe it or not, the women skydiving team had performed in many other countries including Malaysia!!!

On the verge of "4".
|
|
My daughter is growing fast into a smart big girl. Despite her anxiety of turning 4, I've been telling her that she's still 3 until the day comes for her to call herself a 4 y.o. Yes! Time flies really fast and I've started to miss my lil baby Ain....
Having no close relatives around other than her parents, she really enjoy receiving gifts from our family in Malaysia. What other way (besides phone calls) for her to get bonded with or reminded of her extended family? The gifts are not just simply "gifts", they are her treasures...
This year, just a few days before her birthday, Ain received another present from Tokma & Tokbah. Exactly like what she has had been blindly requesting over the phone over the last few months (a purple present, her favourite colour), Tokma has personally handmade a purple neck scarf for her to adorn when the cold weather hits us again. (And I heard, it's going to be a very, very cold winter this time! ) It bears her name "AIN", same like the baju kurung that Tokma made for her last raya! heheh...
Mommy & Daddy bagi apa? hmm...dah bagi mcm2... She's been requesting for A LOT of stuff and we've been telling her that she can have them when it's her birthday. So far, mommy managed to get a princess dress. On sale! Cepat2 grab once dah jumpa yg murah. It's a Princess Jasmine's dress. Another addition to her princess costume collection. Well, she only has one, Ariel dress. Dah nak rosak pun. It was a present from Sara & Nora on her 3rd birthday. Sooo, one request checked!

Time to get crafty & Anida's farewell picnic.
|
|
It's 1st Rejab already! But the day time is very very longggg....Subuh at 4.15 am & Maghrib at 9.16 pm.
Ain did some art project at home today. Nothing much, just some ready to paint plaster kit and a small bird house which I had had bought from Michael's. She loves her apron especially when it bears her name and she gets to pick some shaped felt-like stickers to stick on it too. Got it free from Children's place last few years.
At 6.30 pm, off we go to Nida's farewell picnic at a playground near Ayu's abode. She has finally completed her master in orthotics & prosthesis ( rehabilitative medicine or whatever they call it) at EMU and is ready to go home. Ada nasi lemak & pengat durian and pulut, amongst others. K.Fezah brought some cucur udang while I simply brought meehoon which I had managed to whip at the last minute.
Just the 2 of us, Ain and mommy. So tak bawak keluar sgt camera. Sempat snapped some pics of Ain playing sand with Qistina je. Will have to wait for some pics from Ayu.

It's time to get sunburned again! ;-P
|
|
Oh gosh! I have a lot of entries to be updated & pics to be uploaded!
Ain has had been mentioning about swimming pool since the sun is out and the cold is gone. But the somewhat chilly breeze in the spring and early summer prevented us from making trip to the pool. Now is the right time but the sun is REALLY, REALLY HOT !!! 5 minutes in the sun is enough to make me sweat profusely and Ain actually had a bad tan, macam arang pun ada.
We went to the pool after fetching Ain from school around 4.15pm. As usual, Ain loves to play with the water and pool toys in the kiddies pool. Susah nak ajak dia masuk the big swimming pool lepas tu. She had so much fun fooling around and playing with toys. Didn't want to let them go.
Once in the big pool, she didn't want us to hold her. Mana boleh! So had to borrow a life jacket. (Btw, the pool management do not allow any armbands or other floating devices that are not classified as lifesaving) She was sooo elated to be able to float and swim freely in the big pool. Siap ajar mommy how to swim. Didn't manage to snap any pics as we were all in the pool together.
7 pm, hit the shower room and off to Leo's for fish & chips.

Loots from the dentist's office.
|
|
Ain's of course.
This is the first visit where crying is no longer involved! And it also happens that we've just switched to a new dentist. Looks like Ain loves the new dental hygienist, Bobbie. Her previous few visits to the previous dentist was quite a 'nightmare'. Well, everything actually went well until the part where she needed to open her mouth. The first dental clinic is specialized for kids and is impressively equipped with everything "kids". I especially love the small lighted room under the reception counter and the long choo choo train moving on it's track right over everyone's head. Unfortunately, all of that didn't work for my poor baby.
I noticed that I've had never given any updates about Ain's teeth brushing habit and let me just do that..now.. Well, Ain has been brushing her teeth or should I say her gum since I can ever remember. I used to clean her gum at every bath time when she was a baby. Imagine, she was just a few months old and already understood when I asked her to open her mouth. She'll just go "aaaaaa"...wide and happy. By the time she could sit in the bath tub, I let her hold her own baby toothbrush which goes in 2 stages before she ended up with a real toothbrush. By 1 y.o, she started to use baby toothpaste and brushed her teeth twice a day and started to floss at the age of 2 and a half. She has just recently switched to kids toothpaste at the age of 4.

Ain's first ballet concert.
|
|
Just 2 weeks shy of turning 4, Ain has her first ballet concert. It's one of the moments for us to cherish forever.
Ain was enrolled in Monday class and there were only 3 girls. Other classes, especially Saturday class could have about 10 or more girls. We used to go on Saturday under Hana but later moved to Monday as we thought there were just too many girls and Ain began to show signs of dissatisfaction when she didn't get enough teacher's attention. Her then Monday class teacher was Ashley, her favourite! Sadly, Ashley had to move to Texas and Jennifer came. Jennifer is such a sweet teacher. Very patient with the girls, I have to say....
Oh yes, other than Ain, the other 2 girls were Sophia and Monica. Monica is Ain's age while Sophie is a year older than the 2.
We're taking a break from dance class this summer. Would probably register again for a month or so if there's nothing much to do at home. That way, nobody gets bored..
Btw, I do notice that my girl loves kicking ball. Hmm...wonder if we can still enroll her for lil girl soccer club around here? We only have July to do anything around here though. We're making a short trip home end of August to mid September this year.
