Corbin,Kentucky & Atlanta,Georgia.

Visited Sander's cafe & museum at Corbin, Kentucky. It was his first cafe before KFC became a famous food chain worldwide. Got to see the old setting including the kitchen appliances used.
Then, drove around Atlanta downtown. Sensed some similiarity to Detroit (some abandoned buildings, dominantly blacks) but definitely to a much lesser extent. Atlanta is definitely more alive. Spent a couple of hours there and headed to Orlando, Florida during the night. Reached our hotel (Ramada @ Kissimmee) after midnight.

Selamat hari raya haji!

Had some of the Malaysians came to our house from morning until lunch time. Not everyone could make it as it was a working day and all the students pulak busy with exams, classes and work. Abg. Amir & K.Fezah were our first guests. They came right after the first round of eid prayer (they have 2 prayer sessions over here). I managed to make nasi himpit to be eaten with chicken and beef rendang as well as chicken satay with kuah kacang. I'd say it was the best satay I've ever made. Memang mcm beli kat kedai! Found the recipe online, it was called satay penang. Truly recommended! Kalau nak try, I can always share the recipe.

Our first! For our 3 y.o daughter!!! hahaha...but it was a good move indeed coz both teacher and parents got to know the child better. So we met Ms.Sandra, Ain's teacher and the report has been satisfying. We're happy with her progress and are not worry with any shortcomings should there be any as she's only 3!
So..since the last few months, Ain has now,
- of course, expand her vocabularies...as mentioned by Ms. Sandra
- mastered her computer skill even more
- learned to read the clock..& still learning...she can tell basic hour like 12,1,2 and so on...
- managed to read several words like mom, dad, boy, girl, big...etc
- counting even more...
- improved her writing skills...yes, she can officially write all alphabets & numbers! in fact, some words too!
- drawing even more! she loves to draw her family & friends.
- knew some surahs like al-fatihah & al-ikhlas in her own "pelat" though...
- perfected her doa makan
- still trying to get her started with her iqra'.
Another thing is she can definitely say out her mind/feeling very well. She'll let you know instantly whether she likes something or not or how is she feeling like happy/sad/angry/tired/sleepy.
Satu hari tak beratus kali cakap "I love mom & dad" and sometimes "I love mom & dad very muchhh" memang tak sah. Whenever I tell her that my back hurts, she'll say "It's ok mommy, I'll rub it for you" or "I'll help you". "Please" and "thank you" jgn cakaplah, memang dah jadi tradition dia, kena cakap. Another addition to her regular speech would be "Excuse me!"..hahaha.. once, we were queing for check out at a store and Ain was sitting in the cart, boleh dia ckp "Excuse me.." to the front customer?  Thank God the person didn't hear Ain. Another customer who overheard senyum jee..
Love to ask questions!!! Like last night, we were watching Tinker Bell and she asked, "Mommy..what is 'preparation' mean?" and then "What is 'mainland'?..Gosh...never knew that she was paying attention to all the conversations in the movie and she was actually following it!
