Ain wrote her name for the first time today! Mommy had been asking her to do the same thing on several occasions before but she was always adamant. But today, she did it herself and shouted, "Mommy!!! I write my name!", eagerly showed me her clipboard. But it came out as "AIN JAELO" instead of "AIN JASMINE"! Nasib baik tak Ain J.Lo!

Iftar with Barclay Park neighbours & friends.
|
|
We savoured every food as we could. Imagine! All kinds of food from different parts of the world! Come to think about it, I didn't really eat everything. Hubs perhaps, as he could eat almost anything!!! We also had several non-moslems joining us. They enjoyed all the food to bits! Ain?...She was busy playing with the other kids, kena paksa makan!
And..omigosh, I soo can't recall some of the names as most of them are from Turkey and I am just sooo not familiar with Turkish names! They sound like Tijan, Buruj or something.
I was sooo lazy to cook, hence opted for a very simple dish, penne cream casserole with mushrooms and broccoli. Nasib baik I was a bit rajin to whip up some coffee/coconut milk jello as it became a hit! Everyone was discussing on how good it taste and asking me for recipe! hehehe...thanks mama for teaching me and I've been making it many times over the years spent here in the US. A lot of people have loved it!

Ballet class...
|
|
Saturday is ballet class for Ain. She's been wearing her ballet suit for a couple weeks now. As usual, she enjoyed the class! We did some window shopping at the mall right after the class while ayah went to get a haircut at meijer. Ain went crazy with the christmas trees and took pictures of every tree on display! Yeah she took them all by herself...like she always said, "I did it allllll by myself..."

Dah mandi, baca buku ya...

She took some pics of her room and her artwork too.
Just wanna share some of Ain's antiques with you fellow visitors.
1. The dad was getting some water out of a big static distilled water bottle and carelessly spilled some. Ain said, " Ayah! You spilled your water! Now I have to clean up!" and she grabbed some paper towel to wipe the mess and the dad just grinned and walked away.
2. When I asked her "What do you want to be when you grow up?" The answer could be any of these,
- "I'm not sure..." (you have to hear her tone)
- "I want to be a powerpuff girl."
- "I want to put on my dress and skirt and dance like a ballerina."
3. Every time after she got back from school, she would run to me for a hug and said, "I had fun at school!" while smiling ear to ear.
4. Once in a car, after picking her up, she said,
"I'm so happy! I love you mommy! I want to hold hands and big hug." Smiling all the way...
5. Every time I ask her to wake her dad up, she'll go to her dad and shout " 1,2,3...WAKE UP!!!"
6. Once she saw me taking wudhu and asked me "What are you doing mommy?" I said I was washing myself and taking wudhu so I can pray. Then, she said "I want to wash myself too." So she turned on the water at the sink and washed her face and hands and later washed her feet at the bath tub exactly like I did. And of course, she put on her telekung and prayed with me.
7. Once she saw me reading Quran and she wanted it. I said "no..this is my arabic alphabets". Without me telling her, she then grabbed her own arabic alphabets book, sat on the bed and read the letters one by one while I continued reading mine.
Byk lagi...tak terkata...
